On January 27, 2011 Eric Merkley was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. An aggressive cancer that we hope and the doctors to this point seem confident that is contained to one spot on his leg. Prognosis is good. Treatments and recovery will be long and painful.

Updated post from the Daily Herald

I was contacted by the Daily Herald to do an update on Eric, and they wanted to schedule an appointment to come take a picture of him.  I told them that they would be better off going to the gym during practice.  I love the article.  They did a really good job... Here you go
